Environmental policy
At MediTek we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously and place a significant emphasis, awareness and impact on environmental and sustainability issues in our manufacturing and supplier management. The economical and environmental benefits of our policy include:
- Using as many locally sourced suppliers, components and materials as possible this reduces the need to transport goods and components long distances and reduces the potential that our components and materials are supplied using environmentally un-friendly methods
- During the design and manufacturing process, we work with suppliers to reduce packaging requirements, consumption of raw materials and energy expenditure during manufacture
- Extensive emphasis is given to environmental & sustainability impacts on promotional practice
